Here are two fine examples of Circa 1870 figural gas wall sconces. The first is a single, this was made by Mitchell Vance and Company and is a very rare configuration. The second is a pair of signed Cornelius and Backer wall brackets that were orginally in one of the state building in Hartforrd Connecticut.
